Terms & Conditions
Welcome to BaminiToUnicode.com (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using our website and Bamini → Unicode Tamil converter (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1) What this Service is (and isn’t)
BaminiToUnicode.com provides a browser-based tool that converts text typed using the legacy Bamini Tamil font/encoding into Unicode Tamil. The Service is designed to help you move older Tamil content (documents, email, PDFs, posts) into a modern, searchable format for websites and apps.
The Service is provided for general informational and productivity use. We do not provide legal, editorial, publishing, translation, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and validating the output before publishing or relying on it.
2) How conversion works & accuracy limits
- The converter uses rule-based mappings (including longer patterns) to replace Bamini keystrokes/glyph patterns with Unicode Tamil characters.
- If your source text is not actually Bamini (or is a mix of legacy Tamil fonts), output may appear mixed or incorrect. In those cases, convert sections separately and proofread.
- Counts and “conversion summary” metrics (lines, approximate words, replaced characters) are estimates meant to help you sanity-check document size and conversion activity—not a guarantee of correctness.
3) Your content stays yours
You retain all rights to the text you paste, type, or convert (“User Content”). We do not claim ownership over your User Content.
4) Acceptable use
- Use the Service lawfully and responsibly.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, abuse rate limits, or bypass security controls.
- Do not use automated scraping or bulk extraction that harms site stability.
- Do not upload or share content you don’t have the right to use or publish.
5) Intellectual property
The website’s design, branding, text (excluding your User Content), and code are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute substantial portions without permission, except as allowed by applicable law.
6) No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that conversion will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for every document, font variant, or publishing workflow.
7) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, reputation, or data arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
8) Third-party services
We may rely on third-party providers for hosting, security, analytics, or performance. Third-party sites we link to have their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
9) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update the converter, mappings, UI, or documentation at any time. We may also update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
10) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Where permitted, courts located in Pakistan will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
11) Contact
